Crossover Markets Group, a startup providing an advanced digital assets marketplace for institutional investors, has appointed Daniel Hart as its Director of Business Development.
Hart is the Vice President of Forex Prime Brokerage Sales for investment bank Jefferies in the United Kingdom.
Crossover Markets disclosed Hart’s appointment to Finance Magnates exclusively on Wednesday.
“We are excited to announce that Dan Hart will be joining us as Director of Business Development based in London,” Anthony Mazzarese, Crossover Markets’ Chief Commercial Officer told Finance Magnates.
Mazzarese, who is also the Co-Founder of Crossover Markets, noted that Hart fits into the company’s vision as he had worked with him over the last decade on multiple projects.
Crossover Markets, which just received seed investment from Gate.io and Gate Ventures, was co-founded by Brandon Mulvihill, Anthony Mazzarese, and Vlad Rysin.
While Mulvihill was the Managing Director and Global Head of FX Prime Brokerage at Jefferies, Mazzarese served as the Global Head of FXPB Distribution at the investment bank.
On the other hand, Rysin was a Technologist at Euronext FX, an electronic communication network for forex trading, for over 10 years.
The three executives are industry veterans with extensive backgrounds in forex, equities, prime brokerage, trading, technology and artificial intelligence.
They launched the Crossover Markets crypto exchange in April.
“I firmly believe that the key to success in any project is having individuals who are not only capable and hard-working, but understand the bigger picture and Dan exemplifies this,” Mazzarese said, speaking of Crossover Markets’ choice of Hart.
Reacting to his selection, Hart noted that the appointment fulfils his desire to explore the digital asset space, adding that: “it’s a privilege to be part of such an exciting opportunity and incredible team.”
Hart praised Mazzarese, Mulvihill and Rysin for working “tirelessly the past few months” to build a crypto marketplace designed to meet the liquidity needs of institutional clients.
The ex-Jefferies executive explained: “I have been eager to enter the digital assets community for some time now as I fully believe cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology will transform traditional financial markets we see today.
“I’m looking forward to putting my expertise and skills to good use in this role.”
